I get "Not Supported Mode" error on the tv because I think it needs 720p output, and macbook is outputting 1080p. I'm using mini display port to HDMI cable from monoprice. My macbook is mid 2009 unibody model running os X 10.6.4

ok i used to be able to hear ound from the tv when id connect the hdmi cable to my laptop but i accidentally deleted the hdmi audio option from the playback devices. is it possible to get that back cuz i wanna hear the sound outta the tv not the laptop. please help me
