I just got this new Motorola A630, and the charger requires that you take out the battery and attach it to a wall charger. Every time i take it out, all the initial settings ( time and date) change, and i clearly do not want to have to do this every single time. How do I keep the initial settings?

I know that the iPhones sim can be used in any other att device after activation, but can the iPhone 3g accept another att phones sim? It seems pretty clear the iphone 2g cannot do this, but i have heard rumors of 3g's ability to accept other sims.
