intake

i have a 2000 1.6L mazda protege and i tried adding a cold air intake from spectre (got as a gift) and i hooked everything up i even sealed the joints so no air leaks can possibly happen. and once i turn my car on it starts normally but the rpms drop to under 400 and then it roughly chokes...

I was quoted 1900 by the dealer.... which seems...insane...
