    ...you're using it? My ISP recently decided to cut off anyone who downloads music illegally, not that I ever would, I'm just a curious geek! If you were to use bitorrent through a proxy server, can your ISP tell that you're using bittorrent?

    Why do you need an ISP, can you connect direct to the internet?

    I do not think ISP's should have the right to stop you going to file share sites (see today's news on Irish ISP) so why do you need an ISP? Why cant I become an ISP and provide my own internet connection? what equipment would I need??????

    Why actual internet speed is way much lower than one displayed in my ISP

    ISP Torrents Blocked?

    My ISP, Tiscali, blocks downloading Torrents. They just don't download, and it's not my setup, my laptop on my friend's internet works fine. Is there any way to "unblock" my torrents? The Torrents are not throttled, it is not a seeding/leeching problem, it is my ISP.

    I have been using ATT as my ISP and used their toolbar on several computers...

    ...running XP. Now I have Vista and ? there is no "sign in" option for switching accounts without typing everything in each time. I have looked but no answers how to set this up. Is it possible in Vista or is that another "security" feature. Thanks.
