They started to improve in 2000-2002.
From 2003 and on, they were considered average in reliability.
But the Kia Rio/Hyundai Accent are still bad cars. They are giving Kia and Hyundai a bad reputation. A Kia Spectra/Hyundai Elantra are much better cars...

It has 130,000 miles on it (a lot i know) but I'll probably have it for less than 2 years and never or rarely use it for long travel. Its manual transmission, which i don't currently know how to drive but can learn pretty easily. But it was well taken care of and has a new stereo system.

My fuel tank sending unit is defective and must be replaced. Is there any way to do this on a 1997 Kia Sephia without dropping the tank? I don't have a shop manual, so I don't know if there is an access port somewhere. I didn't find one in the trunk.
