Hey I'm looking to go into the military within a few years and I want to have some understanding of a martial arts prior to joining. I've been asking around and I've been told for the military it would be beneficial to learn Krav Maga or Kempo. Which should I learn?
I live near to kyokushin karate centre , and it was my choice at first.
Now i´ve seen a couple of things about Krav Maga and i thought it was interesting...
So , is kyokushin karate effective for real life situations such as encounters with knives, guns, bats etc...
I know that Krav Maga is pretty...
Would guys who do Krav Maga stand a chance against a UFC fighter? Like these? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnZ0sfOiuIM
Would these guys kick a UFC fighters ass or would UFC fighters destroy them?
what movies have the martial art krav maga in them?
after watching the damage it can do in the league of extraordinary gentleman (captain nemo)
i became very interested to see what it can do in a less science fictiony movie

I want to join Legion Etrangere when I turn 18 next year December. I've been looking to try to take up a hand to hand combat system before I go. Is Krav Maga effective and can you learn it in about 20 months?
