I need new brake and clutch levers for a 92 yz 125. But on my local craigslist, there is a new set for a suzuki. Are they universal or are they brand specific?

i have a 125DB scrambler and the shaft on it keeps getting worn because the treads on it are small and thin could i buy a better one with thicker threads and would it be hard to fit it yourself or should i get a pro to do it ?.....and will it cost much?

in each gear..it moves to ? 3800 V6..
