In the mouse's specs, it only states Windows XP and Vista under supported OS. Will it work on WIndows 7?

i have dish network and im thinking about buying a logitech revue but i dont know what you need. i have the normal box for dish with no dvr. can i buy the revue and use that as my dvr? and one more thing- do you have to hook it up to your receiver?
