    Which used car is better for 18 yr old girl--2001 Acura MDX or 2001 Jetta VW? Both

    well maintained.? I need to keep one for my teenager. The Acura has 115,000 miles, the Jetta has 85,000. Both have had extensive maintenance this past year. Which one is more reliable? She will be off to college next fall about 90 minutes from home.

    I haven't been able to find much info online, and there is no way I'm paying the dealership to do this. I suppose I could go outside and mess around with the light until I figure it out, but I live in MI and it's so COLD out there! :o) I'd rather go out knowing exactly what I'm doing first...
