As far as I know, Malachi was supposed to be the last prophet. Yet, the messiah will be a prophet. How does this work? Thanks!

Just by birth, he would have been disqualified because he is not a descendant of David on his paternal line (since his paternal line would be God). And Joseph is descended from the wrong line of David anyway so he wouldn't count.
happened? You see, if you look in the Bible, when Isaiah talks about the Messiah, he talks like it already happened.
Ex. He WAS despised and rejected by men, (Isaiah 53:3)

What he could have done is given us the information to create penicillin or the vaccine for the bubonic plague which could have saved 10s of millions of lives or explained the orbit of the earth around the sun, in an attempt to give us a great leap forward in modern science. How about...
If Jesus would be a false Messiah (which I don't believe to be true) and people would still believe sincerely in Him and follow Him would they go to Heaven anyway?
