I am thinking of getting a 98-01 dodge ram diesel and I was wondering how many miles per gallon it gets. Also if you know how many gallons of fuel it holds and how many miles do you get per tank I would like to know that, but if you don't just the mpg would be nice. -Thanks

The CAFE standards were enacted by Congress to raise the average fuel consumption of America's automobile's. However the unintended consequence of this law was to create the SUV market. Should the CAFE laws be repealed so we can have larger cars that get better gas mileage than SUV's?

Currently I am exp 20 mpg. I have done the basic tune up (change oil/filter gas filter tranny oil sp plugs and wires). Clean carburetor. Inspected gas lines, no leak present. People suggested fuel leaking in crankcase or fuel pump diaphram damaged and leaking. Any suggestion/s as to what to check?
