Lots of gyms do lots of interclubs/smokers but some gyms dont do any

This is not a which one is better debate or question, but I am asking which one should I learn first or a bit of. I learn some GI JUDO, Groundwork, And Wrestling. Which would be easier for me and better according to my past experiences with these combats. So should I go with the oldschool boxing...

...effective in a real life situation? I want to study a martial art, and this club near my house offers these different styles. Which would be most effective if something actually happened outside of the club?

similar martial arts? Im going to the University of Michigan in ann arbor and i can not find a Muay Thai or kickboxing gym anywhere. Could somone please recommend one to me or give me the name of a similar martial art to look for?
