What are the major differences? What can a laptop do that a netbook can't?

I've seen them in stores thinking they were both the same, but were in separate categories. Just bugging me... Thanks in advance! ~Dillon

I have just bought a new pink acer (company name) netbook yesterday, and I want to put the pictures from my camera in it. Do I insert that little chip thinngy in my camera that says 2 gb? Or do I insert a cd from somewhere?

I have my CD and registration key and other computers. I tried ripping the disk to a USB thumb drive but I don't know how to install it. Can I download it some where? I don't want to pirate it, I have my key I just need the files to install.

Cannot get conected via Phone line. System tells me it has no Modem. I live in area with no Broadband etc. What the hell use is this to me now. Do I need to buy a Modem, and if so will it still help, given my area.
