I'm on a nextel plan but I can't switch companies because I need the no roaming fees on nextel. Can I do that since sprint and nextel merged? I really don't like nextels phones.

i put my sim card in and it will let me dial out under my number but its not letting me text message or show me my phone book. is it the phone or the sim card
