Besides the 3DS games, will the 3DS play other games. Such as original DS games and/or Gameboy Advance games?

why does it delete every thing I do when I SAVE IT and then when the 3rd day hits and the moon goes down it deletes my songs to the temples and my progress I did I save it and I don't know why it does it! makes me soooo mad!

It came out a few years ago, i remember the main character wore a hat (maybe a tophat) and dressed up as like a "gentleman" and it was a sidescroller. Cant remember much else sorry. Thats it, and it was a bowler hat sorry.
