I ran my car with 91 octane but decided to put 87 instead. but after a day with 87 my car bogs as i come to a stop and i gas it and it will bog out. And at some piont my check engine light will turn on and turn off.

Mix your fuels with a little more 100% octane to Gas/mix. Just remember not to red line the throttle too long or you will seize the engine. It works great and lots of pep to an old bike. Be gentle with the old guy He's 26 yrs. and counting.

I got a mazda mx-6 and i have just had some work done on it and ended up with a new fuel injector for the 1st cylinder (had bad gas). I was wondering if the STP Octane performance boost would harm anything? I still feel like i"m missing some power, so i was gonna try it and see what happened...

The manual says recommended Octane is 87, but with that the engine performance does not seem to be so good. Should I go for 91 Octane ? Also how is the quality of gas supplied by Costco?
