I'm trying to activate my phone to metro pcs by phone but the person says i need a serial number to my verizon phone. the only thing that says in the back is HEX and some number and the model. is there like a website to find serial numbers by searching your phone?

I am currently on the $40 a month plan and want to get the blackberry curve 8530 from metro pcs but dont want to pay the extra $20. If i unlock the phone, can i just add my $40 account to the phone?
