Im planning on getting my Guinea pig a girl to "play" with but I don't want to have like twenty more of them so i'm wondering how many babies they will have throughout there whole life?

i just bought a boy guinea pig today. i dont know how old he is but he is still small. he is gray with white. i thought about midnight but im not too sure about it. i would love it if anyone can give me a name for him. he is my first guinea pig i've ever had.

but no babies? Thank you for the responses, but there wasn't any sign of blood around her or in the cage. The bedding is clean, so I feel like there would be signs of blood. Also, I do feel 2 or maybe 3 kicking in her tummy, but again she lost what seems like a lot of weight last night.
