I have brand new motherboard it can put DDR 2 and DDR3. I buy DDR 3 Dual channel and DDR 2 single channel. Can put together on the motherboard?

...that's normal or high? Whenever I turn my gadget for the meter, the CPU usage is around 2-10% and the RAM meter is around 25-32%. I am wondering if those two meters are suppose to be like that, or they are high? It has 6 GB and a DDR3.
