I'm sorta experienced with track bikes, but i don't know a huge deal about Gear Ratio's. I currently running a 46/18, which is really hard when going on flats because i don't gain speed.
Here are some gear ratio's that I'm thinking. And please help me choose for which is good for me skid...
what is stock gear ratio in a 1969 mercury monterey. it has a 390bb with a c6 tranny, and i know the car will go 90mph in second gear (but dont know rpm at that point). this got me wondering what the gear in the rear end is?

My mother just purchased a new LCD widescreen. I can't seem to get her cable box to output in widescreen format. She doesn't care about HD, but it would be nice to fill the screen without stretching or cutting the image.
I know that 16:9 is for wide screen. But I can never tell any difference with either of these. I have a 40" HDTV. And on both of these aspect ratios, there's always words cut off on the top and/or bottom of my tv screen when I watch my burned DVDs. I have to put my tv on normal screen size...

doesn't fit? Help!? If I remove a link it is two small. If I add a link it is too big.. am I missing something? Do I need a chain tensioner? Or perhaps a new chain?
The new cog size is 17. The new chainring is 48. The bike is a cayne uno with horizontal dropouts and a flipflop hub.
