I would like to rebuild my 1963 Cadillac hydra-matic transmission myself due to the cost of taking it to someone. I can’t seem to find and books or instructions that might cover this transmission. Does anyone know where I can find some information on rebuilding it? Thanks.
yes seems so. Gas only has a shelf life of 3-4 months before it breaks down and if you did not drain the carb it could of gotten gummed up.Also change the spark plug or plugs.

I have problem with coolant levels getting lover, compression test on engine is good, mechanic found traces of coolant in exhaust. without tearing engine a part, no diagnoses (expensive). So I would like to exchange engine instead. Thanks for help
