Can I turn a cassette from tape deck tascam 103 to a cd using sony rdr-gx257 dvd recorder? would the dvd recorder have to be connected to a tv or a vdr recorder which is connected to my tv? Also can the dvd recorder play cd's and how? Please help me.

I was trying to record a tv show on my Toshiba D-R410 DVD recorder. The show finished recording but when I tried to view the tv show on my PCs DVD drive and it can't be recognized. Am I missing a step to make it work on other DVD drives and players or is it even possible to do this?
