I have a 2002 Xterra with 100k. When I start it up it smokes a lot out of the tailpipe but after a couple minutes goes away. There is a ticking sound coming from the upper engine, sounds like lifters. No knocking coming from lower engine. There is an oil pressure light on the dash that is always...
Both of my bike's inner tubes have popped after I accidently rode over a small thorn bush. I plan on replacing both inner tubes. WIll I have to purchase new tires? or can I keep the old ones?
BTW I just recently purchased my Trek 3700 bike 2 weeks ago, so the tires are fairly new.
Ok, so today I accidentally slipped while getting out of my car after putting some things in the back. I grabbed that coat hanger/handle thing that you are supposed to use to keep yourself stable, but because I had already began slipping the force caused it to snap off. This is not the door...

If you get dust or dirt on the breaks they will squeak, if you use ceramic breaks they are less likely to do this also they make some after market dust covers that will keep dirt out but they also raise the temperature of the breaks when breaking, I would recommend ceramic break pads next time...
Im half way through replacing my water pump and im stuck...the power steering pump pully blocks access to the final bolt that needs to be removed so the water pump can be removed so i can replace the water pump... any hints on how to get to the bolt so i dont disassemble something i dont need to?
and when i removed the break pads i noticed that the clips that were on them had rusted and one had actually snapped when it dropped to the ground. i didn't get new ones with the new break pads i had bought. do i need to go out and buy new clips?
the problem? My car was leaking water because of a leaking water pump. Yesterday I had it replaced with a new water pump and a new thermostat. It ran well afterwards. But since disassembly caused some transmission fluid to leak; I took a drive to the parts store afterwards to pick some up. On my...

I took my '99 Explorer to mechanic to get the fuel pump replaced. Mechanic told me the engine was "catching" and the cause/solution was to replace upper plenum gaskets. Any harm/concerns in ignoring this problem/issue?
