I just had to replace my dvd rom because it was jammed. I put in a new one and it opens & all that, but when I put in a CD nothing happens, and under My Computer, the drive does not show up? What do I do?
my Packard bell iMedia 8500T wont read CD Roms i have the game i want installed but when i go to player it says that the CD isn't in the disk drive and yet it is in the disk drive can anyone help me i am 15 and i have not money so i cant buy things so replacing isn't the answer help please :S

I can download from the internet, but when I put in a dvd or cd disc, It wont load. Sometimes the disc will be ejected and I get a "Insert Disc" message. Any ideas? Game discs, and other pre-programed discs I have used before wont load.
