screensaver

so on my phone on display settings its like screensaver on, off, clock,calendar,slideshow. But i set clock and idk what its supposed to do. Help please

Ok, so I have a Red Razr V3m from Sprint. When I try to add screensavers from mpt, they are found in My Pictures. I click expand and the screensaver plays. When i make it my screensaver, it doesnt play. What do I do?????????????
