    Is it wrong to use studio monitors over the amp with a home theater set up?

    I wanna use monitors instead of an amp driven speakers with my Marantz AV7701. I know the disadvantage with them being near field but my listening area is very small. If I had the money I would go for a pair of monoblocks and some good speakers. Whats your opinion?
