Just bought this new laptop a couple weeks ago. Apparently, it has Google Gadgets pre-installed. I was wondering what this little box down in the taskbar was, so I pressed it, and up pops this sidebar, and I can't figure out how to make it go away! I might want to explore using it someday, so...
Every time I click download a box pops up saying open, save, or cancel. I have clicked open and nothing happens. I have clicked saved and nothing happens. I can't find the gedget anywhere on my computer!

Those are for windows Vista, the thing you downloaded is a totally different sidebare made to look like vista's sidebar they were not even written in the same program language and they use totally different plug-ins. You cant use the ones at vistaa.gallery.microsoft.com
