I think I have the starter installed properly but when I turn the key either i hear one good click or I don't hear anything at all.

I have a sidekick lx. I have a prepaid. now my question is. Does the phone have some kind of plan? Because i checked on my tmobile plans page thing and it says "Plan expiration date" and then the date. should i be worried about that? does it shut down or does what to my phone? I need help. -Thanks
