Like when I turn on the headset and sit it next to my ps3 then i tell the ps3 to search for bluetooth devices and it says scanning and nothing happens. please help?

I heard somewhere that the new xbox 360 is uber sensitive. Like stepping a bit too hard would shake the console and ruin the disk. Is this true? And please post pros and cons of the console compared to the xbox 360 elite. Thank you
