shifted from park to drive or reverse? it is an 88 jeep with a 91 engine in it, it was installed in an auto shop and ran great for a few weeks, but now it starts and runs fine , but when it is shifted into gear it stalls every time

i need the cam phasers and maybe lash adjusters changed out on my 04 5.4 triton f150. today while the truck was hot switching from drive to reverse with the wheels turned backing into a parking spot the truck stalled. my thinking is could the bad cam phasers be the cause of the truck to do that...

Have the fuel pump pressure checked. If it is low it will act like you say, but also check the fuel filter. It can also a cracked cap, plugs( being old) as well as wires. At this point it is really hard to say but I would check everything you said.
