I have an Onkyo system. It has worked perfectly for over a year. I turned it on recently and a very loud hum was coming from the subwoofer and surround sound speakers. I unplugged the subwoofer and the hum diminished was still there.
I have not changed any of the settings or wiring...

My Surround sound system(Sony) stopped shuffling discs, and in fact I had to take it apart to retrieve the discs. Now it doesn't work at all, except when I click "Video" the TV stations come in loud and clear. But when I click "DVD" it reads an error message that means the player is shot...

Well my parents just got a blue-ray player and surround sound by panasonic. I can hear the surround sound on movies, however I would like to use it for regular television. Is this possible? If so, how or where do I connect the cables.

I cannot get my Blue Ray player to play in 5.1. I have new new Denon reciever and it plays movies in PL II. I had the same problem with my old reciever. I have the Blue Ray connected to the reciever by HDMI cable.
