side id like to repair it any ideas? do i need new clips or take it apart from the inside the tailgate to fix it

Some one tried to break in my truck and popped the latch out of the tailgate. I have the latch, but how do I get it installed right? I want to do it myself.

This tailgate rattle is driving crazy! I think it is loose or something but i cannot find any place where i could tighten it. It started doing this about 3 months ago. It has 15 inch spare and has a cyclops brake light on it. How do i fix this and make it tight like when i bought it?
