I have a mac mighty mouse and the side buttons won't work. I've gone into system preferences and turned it off and on again, but that did nothing. Please help!! Thanks :)

i have internet and when i scroll through the page it does not scroll smoothly as it did before. when i scroll through the page it has to load and it scrolls choppy it never did that before so plz help.
