car covered in ice and froze to ground - need to pull out, can't seem to find tow hook front or rear underneath car? link to a photo would be best, any correct answer greatly appreciated.
I'm looking at trucks, possibly a Chevy Colorado, so that I can get a boat next.
The truck I want is rated at 1600 Lbs towing capacity. How big of a boat is 1600 Lbs? Would a 12-15 foot motorized boat be within this limit?
U-Haul said it's not recommended. They recommended I use the more expensive "Auto Transport" which cost twice as much. The tow dolly only cost 108.00.
I really don't care about this vehicle cause it is in-operable. But I wouldn't want to tear up any of the axles or anything.
What do you think...
has self locking when key's out? There are several questions within this question since this is my FIRST time doing this and no one in town seems to be of any help. The towing Truck is an Automatic; Would I need to take the DRIVE SHAFT off? Also...... this truck DOES LOCK when the key is OUT of...
Seems like it would. If the car is in Park, wont it not budge?

what kind of presumptuous answer is that don? is that how one become a "top contributor?"
If any one can answer my question and hopefully provide a link to some online source. I was parked in a stores private lot in one of the New York City boroughs and when i walked out my car wasn't there. I looked around the corner and my car was on a tow truck. I told him i was around the corner...
my husband and i are moving and we will be using a moving truck and would like to tow our rear wheel drive ford ranger behind the moving truck. Can i use a standard dolly, or do i need to get the car carrier?
Why do we have signs in public places etc. that say, warning, wet floor. Or road signs that say, triple curve, careful rocks falling, or school close by, 15 mph.etc. And yet cones are not required to warn of a tow truck blocking the whole stree. Just that small action of putting cones down can...
This has been something that has boggled my mind for a little while, and the numbers just would seem to point to yes... of course it could, yet something just doesn't seem right here.
Two cars for instance:
2010 Dodge 3500
5.7-liter Hemi V8 383 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque
18,000lb...
I drive a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado. It has a regular cab, 2WD - rear wheel, and 4cyl engine. The listed capacity for this vehicle is in the neighborhood of 1500lb, but it has a manual transmission. I've heard that a manual transmission can take down the towing capacity of a vehicle and I'm...
