If they do, how do I check the transmission fluid on a 1991 GMC Sonoma with the 2.5 liter I4 engine?

Seems like it would. If the car is in Park, wont it not budge? (Im implying that the situation would be where someone gets their car towed from being parked illegally, where they would not be present) what kind of presumptuous answer is that don? is that how one become a "top contributor?"

I had replace transmission and torque converter on the car. The new transmission was for a 95 dodge neon. The old transmission that i changed would go into reverse and forward not very fast until it got warmed up and then it would not move. The new one will go into reverse but will not go over...

Failing on searching for a Transmission Manual...well cuz google is so smart it thinks i'm looking for a manual transmission I am attempting to take apart the Tranny of a 1998 Jetta GL 2L but it won't come apart i need a book to figure WTF anyone know where I can find a book....CHILTON...

...rebuilt? Are there clutches or? bands that typically fail? I'd like to know what is typical in a tranny failure?

I'm thinking of lifting it 3-4 inches but the automatic tranny isn't floating my boat. Can I swap to manual, how hard would it be, and what kinda cost am I'm looking at (roughly)?

i've got the side covers, nose cone and all of the nuts, bolts and snap rings i can get to off. i've pulled the differential out, and i've got the end of the actual gearbox portion of it about an 1/8th of an inch from the rest of it. it feels like something is hanging me up though. i don't know...

1986 toyota camry auto transmission.

5-speed? i have a 1992 Toyota supra? turbo charged. with boost controller. i can feel the transmission slipping and it takes a while to get into reverse. i have the manual transmission and i can get all those things very cheap.. still not worth it? i love this car and already put so much into it...

...what this from? its been fine since the last problem but im affaid it will happen again. is this a big problem or a sensory?

change gears? Does the same apply to paddle shift also? How does one drive to save petrol - in automatic or paddle shift? Does the torque converter lock up in all gears or only in 5th gear? Any other advise for bumper-to-bumper city driving?

i got a 1990 gmc obviously. it has a 305 in it. the transmission is only a 3 speed auto. im just trying to figure out if its the 700R4 or not. some people told me it was but others said it was a 4L60. i honestly have no idea.

put car in reverse backed up...moved gear shifter to drive...car still went in reverse...is there a linkage loose maybe? or, is this a bigger problem?

Most TJ trans leaks are from the seal between the transmission and the transfer case. There is a parts charge of under 50.00 and the rest would be labor. The job calls for 4.5 hours of labor, so the price should be around 500.00 or less. Take it to a different mechanic and have a second opinion...

my transmission has been slipping for past two years..when i drive it the over drive light flashes and wont come off and when this happens and the car changes its first gear the car jooks. what can it be? the transmission mount?
