i have my old sanyo turntable connected to my system & the volume is not loud even... ...turned all the way on high.? my amp & pre amp are acurus and tuner is marantz. turntable is connected correctly. thx

Turntable has two male RCA-pin plugs. If I buy a 3.5mm Y adapter cable (2 RCA inputs to one stereo mini), will powered computer speakers give me enough volume without the need of a preamp?
