so i had a sprint iphone 4s but it was stolen and i switched to an htc evo, well my friend recently got an iphone 5 from tmobile and he gave me the phone. is there a way i can use my sprint number on his tmobile iphone?

I have had this phone unlocked but it says u can never update or it will go back to original settings. I only use it for playing games etc but its always asking me to update the iOS. Does it mean if I keep it unlocked I can't ever play these games?
