I want to run an 800 watt amp in my car which has a 12 volt battery. The car is a 2001 Nissan Altima if that helps at all. Is this possible? What could be some bad things about this? If this would not work how hard is it to hook up another car battery to power the amp separately?
I have a Rev xp, and the battery died because my brother is an idiot. I have a battery charger, but its a 12 volt. If I put it on trickle charge even for a few minutes, will it still wreck my battery? My Recoil is messed as well.
I would like to know the real comparison between a high mileage gasoline car and an electric or hybrid car.
It would include the cost and environmental impact of manufacturing exotic batteries and rare earth materials for the magnets in the motors. and the costs of the charger and electricity...
News was just released that the Chevrolet Volt integrates the gasoline engine into its drive train. More specifically, at some speeds it contributes to the propulsion effort, but only once the battery pack has run down and the engine has turned on to run the generator. The electric motor never...
So I found a 7x12 inch solar panel that came from a jetski. I hooked it to my multimeter and found that it puts out 20.25 volts and 86 watts. I was thinking about rigging it up to a cigarette lighter adapter so I can just plug it in and leaving it on the front seat of my car during long periods...

We finally know, officially, how much it will cost to own the Chevy Volt. GM has announced that their electric car is up for pre-order for $41,000, with a tax credit of up to $7,500 lowering the tally. More »
...on DC battery power? I want to use either 6 or 12 volt rechargeable batteries of some kind. Ideally 4-5 hrs of constant use.
Would multiple batteries be needed? If so whats the best way to connect them together?
...and how much it costs? I read on the Q&A how to keep the cats away from eating all my expensives fishs and someone tell about the mats with low 9 volt batteries to scare the cats away. Where I can get a mats like that and how big the mat is, how many I needs. I have apond about 14' x16'. Thanks.

I am trying to set up a lawn mower motor to start on a battery like a series of 9 volts or anything small (obviously so that i don't have to use a car battery). Is this possible to do and if so does anyone have any recommendations to what voltage ill need or what batteries.
Thanks loads for any...
