i hook up a 1000 watt amp to my jeep and after like 30 minutes of it being on, not playing, the car died, i didnt even get the stereo set uo to play the subs yet, so i jumped the car but it wouldnt idle i had to keep my foot on the gas to keep the engine running, any idea what could be causing...

My sub woofer is designed to run through the speaker wires but can also be powered. I am opting for the powered option since i need 7 channels. But on the back of the sub woofer I have two sockets, (the standard red and white stereo cables), and the back of the amplifier has only one output...
