02 VW bottoms out on small bumps?

I have a 2002 jetta with 72000 miles on it. When i am driving down the road it seems to be bottoming out on the small stuff, but not really on some of larger bumps and potholes. Maybe its not really bottoming out, but it feels and sounds like it is, just to a much smaller degree. I recently had a new cv shaft installed on the driver side. Could it be a problem with that?
 
Jack up the area the sound is coming from and pull/push on all your tie rods. They might have left something loose or forgot to thread lock something. Make sure to check anything that connects to the knuckle. Grab your shocks and try moving them too.
