1 year old pulling up vent covers?

my 1 year old son keeps pulling out the vent covers around our livingroom and in his room...i dont no how to keep him from doing that except telling him no and that is working...atleast not yet...im worried hell get his fingers pinched or something but i dont no if it wud be a good idea to glue or tape them down in case the maintenance man needs to get there or something. he cant fall down the vent hole cuz its too small...its a lil open space with a hole that goes to the furnce in the basement that i am not even sure is big enuf for his foot. any ideas on geting him to stop or sercuring the vent covers?

i used to do that, i was very curious. you should get him some duplo blocks to distract him.

maybe you could screw or nail it down? just a couple small ones on opposite edges would probably be enough. and it would be easy enough to remove when needed.

id do that before you end up with a vent full of small toys and car keys and jewelry and spare change....

actually you might want to check to see if anything is down there already.
