front and overwhelming needs ? right here in your own country?
I heard Mccain complaining this morning that the US population hadn't had a chance to review the "Bill" ~~and that Obama had promised that everyone would be able to read it.
Duh. McCain already admitted that he wasn't computer savvy..and the Bill was available here on line.
Mostly however, he and other Repubs barely uttered a peep ~~ in fact they encouraged endless spending in the prolonged Iraq debacle.
Where is the money coming from for Iraq/Afghanistan?
Where is the money coming from for needs right here at home.
I'm young. I'm told that I will be paying for years to come.
Well for the older folks, haven't you been paying through the nose for decades? Stop worrying so much about things to come.
Never know what will happen in the future.Never know that the US will one day be on its feet again.

To answer you first question, Heaven forbid we help our own. Repubs would rather spend money overseas because they get something out of the deal instead of spending here on our own soil for our needy. The needy don't vote republican.

For every one project that cost billions (or hundreds of billions) which was discussed in the media at-length there are five other projects that weren't. The missile shield in Czech Rep. and Poland was one of them. Massive subsidizing of foreign governments to build military installations is another.
It looks like President Obama is looking to cut back on these projects, which will help the domestic economy.

WTF?
Excuse me, but we were ATTACKED on 9-11 remember? I dont want to hear any of that horse poo about it being a conspiracy. You libs have been calling everything a conspiracy since JFK. If we don't spend money to protect our borders, we will inevitably be overtaken by those same foreign countries that attack and hate us. I guess not all of us learned that in high school Civ. class.

Sure its good to spend money at home, but without spending money to protect ourselves and our investments from invasion, then spending at home is a worthless waste of time because we'll inevitably lose to whoever overtakes us.

Didn't you ever learn why the Roman Empire fell? It became unstable from the INSIDE, which allowed foreign invaders to succeed in taking it over and breaking up the country. I dont know about you but I dont care to repeat that history here in the US. If we cant learn from that, then we're just stupid.

A strong military is one of the major components that keeps America enjoying all the freedoms we so often take for granted.

You're right! Now that Dems are in charge we should spend as much money as we can borrow and print on EVERYTHING (well, everything that the left has been waiting the better part of two decades to get back to, that is).

Spend, spend, spend – spending is GOOD!!! Well, it's GOOD when Dems are doing it, anyway; and, it's most definitely very, very BAD when Reps are doing it. Doh!

"Stop worrying so much about things to come. Never know what will happen in the future."

That's right, Bink; YOU worry about today and WE'LL worry about tomorrow – I think you're on to something here!

Yes, I'm thinking ACORN doesn't really need our money..
