18 & trying to stop smoking?

I am a female 18 & trying to stop smoking. Mom recomended that I switch to her brand Misty lights for a few weeks and then Ultra lights for a few weeks and then go cold turkey. I dont have much support in my family as mom & dad & sisters all smoke. What is your thoughts. ?

Mom says my brand to strong just to cold turky it ?? Is this true ? Mistys the way to get off them.
