Is there spark?
Do you have a voltage tester?
Check for power at the points when they are open and the key is turned on. If not, back up and take the condensor out and try for voltage on the wire that was connected to the points with the condensor wire.
If power at points, check to see that the distributor is not in 180 degrees out of phase with the crank (pretty common mistake).
If all is good, go through the timing setup routine.
Oh yes, I think I remember that carb having a fuel cut off (mini solenoid) on the carb. Check for power on that wire as well.
