Hello, I am looking into buying my friends 1986 Yamaha It200 and was wondering why the compression on the dirt bike is easier then my friends rm125 and my crf150f. Also the bike sounded like it wanted to start but wouldnt. And is the dirt bike ok for jumps about 5-10 feet high?

It feels like the compression is lower than your friends bikes because the engine is worn out.
The compression between the 3 bikes should feel the same.
The bike is over 20 years old and has probably never been rebuilt.
Rebuild the top end (cylinder, piston and rings).
2 stroke engines require rebuilds quite often (once a year to prevent damage).
That bike's suspension is fine for 5ft jumps.
It might feel a little soft, getting up into the 10ft range.
The suspension on that 1986 bike would be about equal to your CRF150

The bike might have a lower compression ratio compared to the others or it needs new rings. Clean the carb out and don't run any old gas that might be in the tank. Jumps = go for it.
