1987 toyota supra check engine light does not work?

i have a 1987 toyota supra and the check engine light is not working, therefore i cannot smog it. What would cause it to not work?

pull the dash out and change the bulb in it,that's not uncommon for those to burn out like that ,good luck.

The only thing's are...

A. The computer will not turn on the light which is an internal computer problem.

B. The bulb is burnt out.

C. Somebody removed the bulb.

There is no 'fuse' for the check engine light or anything like that. It's either a bad computer or it needs a bulb.
I would say it needs a bulb as light bulbs are the problem 9 out of 10 times with lighting problems on a car.

Probably the light in the dashboard is out.
