I have a 1991 Lincoln Town Car. I took out the instrument cluster, and when I put it back in, hooked up the battery and turned the key and the fuse for the cluster popped. I replaced it with the same result. So I think okay, I shorted out the cluster. I got another one from a junk yard, put it in and turned the key. The fuse didn't pop this time, but the only thing that lit up was the light behind the gear selector. So I exchanged it for another one, same thing. Anyone have any problems like this? I'm thinking I may have a problem in the dimmer switch now, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this maybe? Any help would be appreciated.
