1995 mazda 626 wont climb hills?

well i have a 1995 mazda 626 and i had just changed the spark plug wires because it wont climb hills that great it goes slow up hills.. It hasnt had an oil change in awhile could that be the problem? What coudl the problem be?
it hasnt had a tune up in awhile either

Finish up the tune up, need to start there. A fuel injection clean would help also.

clogged fuel & air filters? when did you changed them? spark plugs, try it first and then see how it runs
