my transmission has been slipping for past two years..when i drive it the over drive light flashes and wont come off and when this happens and the car changes its first gear the car jooks. what can it be? the transmission mount?

...like it is outt of gas but it isn't? It is hard to crank the mornings.Cranks during the day but is slow sometimes. Has a V6 engine. Took out plugs, they are soaked with gas. Changed plugs and wires with no change in the cranking.
