1996 jeep cherokee classic engine noise?

When driving sounds close to normal but when im next to building it sounds extremely loud could it be a hole in the exaust system? It sounds like that also when I speed up to kinda sounds like an 18 wheeler

I noticed this on my chevy v8 and took it to a mechanic, he found that a couple of exhaust manifold bolts had broken at some point in time. You could feel the exhaust puff out the two back cylinders (one on each side) the mechanic surmised the head was warped just a hair but that unless there was a problem beyond being loud in enclosed spaces there was not much to worry about, and its a lot of labor to fix this as the manifolds on there now were likely no good. You can probably do what my mechanic did which was to put the suburban on a lift and stick his head and hand up underneath the exhaust manifold and figure out the noise I heard by using the palm of his hand to feel the compression blow the exhaust past the broken bolt hole.. I left it alone as it had not caused any problems with the vehicle that I could tell and the mechanic said it would not hurt the heads in any case.
